Google just released the official stable build of Android 8.1 Oreo and there are rumors surfacing about the upcoming Android 9.0 firmware already. OnePlus 5 or 5T
The OnePlus 5 device have already started receiving Android 8.0 Oreo update under the Open Beta program. You will see more such updates along the road for the OnePlus 5 and 5T devices. The previous OnePlus 3/3T are already running official Oxygen OS 5.0 based Oreo. This makes OnePlus the very first third-party manufacturer to release official Oreo for their device.
The manufacturer is ahead in the update game as always. OnePlus 5/5T are guaranteed to receive the Android 9.0 P update next year once the sources are released.
Sony Xperia X series
Quite some Sony phones are already on the Oreo update. First the Xperia XZ Premium, then the X Performance, later the flagships Xperia XZ/XZs. So you better stock with Sony’s Xperia X and XZ series to receive the latest Android P update.
Essential Phones company is setup by one of the Android Inc. founder Andy Rubin. The first Essential PH-1 is already on the Oreo Beta.
