Samsung seems to be slowly and steadily rolling out the October security updates for its devices. Although there was no September security patch, Samsung effortlessly rolled out dedicated firmware to patch the Blueborne threat. Samsung is well known for its efficiency in time-bound update releases. It made sure none of its devices will miss the October security update. October security patch already started rolling onto mid-range Samsung Galaxy A5. Now, another Samsung flagship is getting the latest October firmware update. Yes..!! October 2017 security patch for Galaxy S7 (edge) is now rolling.

This brings the firmware build number G930FXXU1DQJ1 and G935FXXU1DQJ1 to the European variants of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge respectively. This update is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The updates are sized around 125 MB.The OTA update is rolling in waves and will take some time to reach all devices.
