Pixel Feature Drop June 2024 for Pixel Watch and Wear OS

The June 2024 Pixel Feature Drop for the Pixel Watch 2 brings Car Crash Detection. Prior to this, the Car Crash Detection feature was only available for Pixel Phones and after exactly 1 year, it comes to the Pixel Watch.

Car Crash Detection

Just in time for National Safety Month, the Pixel Watch 2 introduces Car Crash Detection. This feature automatically checks in with you during a severe car accident and can contact emergency services if you don’t respond. It integrates with Emergency Sharing, notifying your emergency contacts and sharing your real-time location.

Fall Detection Enhancements

Fall Detection on the Pixel Watch 2 has been improved to better detect falls from bicycles. This ensures that help is always within reach, whether you’re commuting or enjoying a leisurely ride.

Wear OS Updates

Improved app experiences. Now, you can leave your physical wallet at home and still make payments on the go with your Pixel Watch. Simply link your PayPal account to Google Wallet for convenient transactions when your hands are full.

The Google Home app has been revamped for better accessibility and faster control of your smart home devices directly from your watch. With just a swipe, you can access your Google Home Favorites, adjust the temperature, dim the lights, and more.

Wear OS now lets you manage smart home devices right from your watch face. Tap the device shortcut to make quick adjustments to your home environment, such as rotating blinds or changing fan speeds. The updated Google Home app on Wear OS offers even more ways to manage your smart home, all from the convenience of your wrist.

That’s all for the Pixel Watch updates!
