Original: A few months ago, Samsung announced that their brand new One UI Watch OS firmware update will be available for the Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 4 Classic, and all the next-gen smartwatches. The Electronics giant also released a One UI Watch 4.5 beta program for the 4th gen smartwatches. Today, the stable version of One UI Watch 4.5 OTA update just started hitting Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic devices. See how to download it below.
If you don’t already know, Samsung is ditching Tizen UI for Google’s Wear OS software. After almost a year of development, Samsung is finally ready with the latest One UI Watch 4.5 based on Wear OS for the Galaxy Watch 4.
One UI Beta Program for the Galaxy Watch 4 started in May 2022. The beta program has concluded earlier this week with a stable OTA already available for the beta testers.
Starting today, all users of Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic can download the latest One UI Watch 4.5 stable firmware update. It comes with firmware build GVH2.
Users in the United States and South Korea reportedly received the OTA today with other regions following up including the UK, Europe, and Asia.
One UI Watch 4.5 Features
As for the features, One UI Watch is built on top of Google’s free and open-source Wear OS firmware for wearable devices, especially smartwatches. In a blog post, Samsung also unveiled some of the features of their new watch interface.

Most importantly, One UI Watch will feature the Google Play Store so you can download any app directly on your Galaxy Watch including Spotify, YouTube Music, Google Maps, Messages, and the most recent Google Assistant.
How to download Samsung One UI Watch 4.5 OTA on Galaxy Watch 4 and Classic?
One UI Watch 4.5 update is available for download on the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. OTA can be downloaded in regions including China, Europe, India, and the United States starting today.
- Make sure you have connected to a WiFi network on your Galaxy Watch 4.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll down and select “Software Update.”
- Download OTA updates manually.
