Download OxygenOS 12 C.16 HotFix OTA Update for OnePlus 8 Series

Last month, OnePlus released the most anticipated stable OxygenOS 12 firmware update for the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T, and the OnePlus 9R based on Android 12. Soon after, the European variants received the same update for the OnePlus 8 series featuring C.15 software build with March 2022 security patches.

However, that wasnโ€™t enough. According to several user reports, the newest Oxygen OS 12 C.15 still wasnโ€™t quite stable. Users who updated are complaining about all sorts of bugs related to battery drain; as seen in our OnePlus 8 downgrade tutorial.

Today, OnePlus released a new Oxygen OS 12-based C.16 hotfix update addressing this exact issue. According to the changelog, C.16 optimized the power consumption in some scenarios and improved battery life performance.

While it is advised to immediately update to Android 12 C.16 OTA, it is only available for the European variants as of now. For the global or Indian variants, you may need to wait and check the download section for the full OTA download links.

The previous C.15 version increased charging speed, enhanced calling quality, and addresses a Face Unlock glitch. The OTA also brought the Android security patch level to March 2022. Check out the complete changelog from below.

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I tried this and choosing recovery mode kept bringing me to the same screen rather than give me any choice you mentioned โ€œOnce into the Recovery Mode, select โ€œApply Updates from phoneโ€™s storageโ€ or โ€œApply updates from sdcardโ€.SO I have no choice of selecting anything other than keep going into recovery mode in a loop. Any advice???
