Samsung Galaxy S9 Android 10

Last month, Samsung officially introduced the One UI 2.0 firmware to the world at the SDC19 (Samsung Developer Conference 2019). We already had the OneUI 2.0 beta program running for the Galaxy S10 series before the official announcement. As the beta program has ended and stable One UI 2.0 update based on Android 10 is rolling out for the flagship phones globally, the beta program for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ begins. Here is the stunning Android 10 beta 2 update for the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus Exynos variants. It features critical bug fixes, system improvements, and latest security patch level.

The new OneUI Beta 2 update for Galaxy S9 series features new firmware build numbers G965FXXU7ZSL2 for the S9+ (SM-G965F) and build G960FXXU7ZSL2 for the S9 (SM-G960F). Some of the critical bugs that have been fixed with the ZSL2 update include โ€“ Reboot after connecting mobile Hotspot, Samsung Internet crashes when a page is loaded with a lot of text or images, Reboots every time connected to VPN, mobile Hotspot 5GHz support, Force close on link sharing app, and more. In addition to this, the Android 10 beta 2 for Galaxy S9 brings the latest December 2019 security patch level and support for Samsung Dex. Checkout the complete changelog from below.

Whatโ€™s new with the Android 10 beta 2 (OneUI 2.0) for Galaxy S9 series?

The size of this new OTA update is around ~298 MB. The latest beta update brings many new bug fixes and major system improvements to the latest Android 10 beta for the Galaxy S10. Here is the complete changelog for OneUI 2.0 Beta 2 officially rolling out in the regions of Europe and Asia via Samsung Members app.

Bugs that have been fixed with ZSL2 update:

  • Lockup and reboot persists after connecting mobile hotspot
  • If a page is loaded with a lot of text or images while using Samsung Internet, it will be terminated randomly.
  • Reboot every time VPN runs โ€“ Crash occurs due to unsupported mobile hotspot 5GHz
  • FC occurs when running link sharing app
  • The message โ€˜Call/text on other devicesโ€™ does not disappear in the quick panel
  • Device fever occurs during game
  • Samsung Dex system UI crashed
  • Screen blacks intermittently after unlocking lock screen through fingerprint recognition

The latest Android 10 beta 2 is now live for the S9 and S9+ via Samsung Memberโ€™s app for the Exynos (global) variants. The easiest way to update Galaxy device to Android 10 is using the Samsung Members app. However, for the regions where the update is not yet available, download the OTA update zip and manually sideload it via stock recovery or ADB sideload method (recommended).

      Hello, reg the S9+ update, I have flashed it with UK (CSK1), but the beta 1 update didn’t work. Now I plan to flash it with the following build – will it work? G965FOXM7CSK5?? Kindly advise.

    Guess it’s only for Exynos and not Snapdragon.
