Huawei just announced its latest Mate series flagship phones. The Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, and the 30 Lite along with their 4G and a 5G variants. Huawei’s ‘Mate’ series is like the Samsung’s Note series; except for the S-Pen but packs all the latest and greatest specifications. The two devices feature top-notch hardware and software configuration one could ask for. This includes Huawei’s very own System on Chip (SoC) called HiSilicon Kirin 990 (7 nm) which is an Octa-core 2×2.86 GHz Cortex-A76, 2×2.09 GHz Cortex-A76, and 4×1.86 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU. To support this processor, the Mate 30 series packs Mali-G76 MP16 GPU, 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM options, and 128 GB upto 256 GB of internal UFS 3.0 storage.

Moreover, both the phones come with Huawei’s latest EMUI 10 firmware update (ROM) based on Android 10. EMUI 10 features a revamped user interface, new design, brand new gesture navigation, new accent colors, fonts, icons, and all the Android 10 goodies including Live Caption, Smart Reply, Sound Amplifier, Gesture Navigation, Dark theme, Privacy Controls, Location Controls, Security Updates, Focus mode, Family Link, and more.

The Mate 30 series is known for its cameras. So the Mate 30 Pro features 3 camera setup at the rear. First is a 40MP f/1.8 wide-angle lens, second is a 8MP f/2.4 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and finally a 16 MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens. The front is fitted with a single 24 MP, f/2.0 HDR selfie camera. The same goes for the Huawei Mate 30 (Pro) and 5G variant; except for the number third camera at the rear where you will find a 40 MP ultrawide instead of the 16 MP in the regular 30. Also, there is a forth 3D TOF camera attached to the Mate 30 Pro.
