Huawei has already begun EMUI 9.0 Beta program for some of its latest Huawei and Honor devices. This year’s flagships, Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, are now open for EMUI 9.0 Pie Beta registration. All you need to do is download the Huawei Beta app and register your device for latest Android 9.0 Pie OTA update.
This is the right time to get the latest Android 9.0 Pie OTA update on your Huawei P20 and P20 Pro. Now that Huawei has stopped giving out Bootloader unlock codes to users, the only way to get the beta firmware installed on your phone is via Huawei’s Friendly User Test (FUT).
Moreover, Huawei has opened user registration slots for the P20 variants as well. So sign up now to get EMUI 9 Beta based on Android 9 Pie. But there are very limited slots open for the Huawei’s FUT Beta program. Also, registering yourself alone does not guarantee that your phone will receive the update.
Alternatively, if you have already unlocked the Bootloader or rooted Huawei phone earlier, then here you can manually flash EMUI 9.0 on Huawei P20 and P20 Pro here.
How to Download Huawei P20 (Pro) to Android 9.0 Pie Beta based on EMUI 9.0
