Update: Galaxy S9 and S9+ Launcher gets updated with fix for Landscape mode for all the Samsung Galaxy series devices running Oreo and Nougat firmware based on Samsung Experience or TouchWiz.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ comes with all the latest hardware specifications and the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. We have already posted about the official Samsung Galaxy S9 wallpapers and ringtones. We also promised about the S9 apps and features. So here we have listed most of the apps and features from the same. So download the official apps from the Galaxy S9 or S9+ and see the installation instructions below.

Some of the apps extracted from the Galaxy S9 include the Phone and Contacts app, Incall UI, Browser, Clock, Calendar, Messaging, TouchWiz Home, Task Edge, gallery, calculator, etc. The TouchWiz Home will give your device the look of the Galaxy S9 or S9+. Unfortunately, the most wanted camera APK from the Samsung S9 and the EmojiMaker APK may not work right now. Even though the APK may be available, they wont directly work on the S8 or any other Galaxy device. However, there will soon be a working S9 camera APK available for download. So stay tuned.

The apps will work on stock Samsung firmware (TouchWiz) only. The apps come in packages and need to be either flashed via custom recovery, or installed manually by replacing the existing packages from the system. Moreover, as the apps are extracted from the Galaxy S9, they may only work with Oreo based ROMs like Samsung Experience 9.0. It is not recommended to try the apps on Nougat or previous firmware like Marshmallow. You may most likely get a force closed.

How to install Samsung Galaxy S9 stock apps and features?

In order to install the Samsung Galaxy S9 apps and features, your device needs to be rooted with the latest TWRP recovery. Then all you need to do is remove some of the previous apps and flash the complete zip to transform your device to S9.

• Make sure your Samsung Galaxy S8 device is rooted with the latest TWRP recovery.
• Download the flashable S9 apps zip from above.
• Transfer the zip to device storage.
• Reboot into TWRP recovery.
• Take a full backup or at least the data partition.
• Flash the S9 apps zip.
• Reboot to system.
