Install latest Xposed v88.2 for Nougat Android 7.0/7.1 fixes Note 8 bootloop

Xposed Framework is one of the most popular customization tool for Android. Following official Xposed Framework support for Android 7.1.1 and 7.0 Nougat with v88, the developer rovo89 released Xposed v88.2 today. This fixes major bootloop issues with Samsung’s stock firmware called TouchWiz; also known as Samsung Experience. Xposed v88.2 especially brings support for Note 8’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat firmware with SE 8.5. So now you know latest Xposed Framework version is a major stability update for Samsung devices.

The new Xposed v88.2 also fixes crash on OnePlus devices when fully charged. Apart from that, the framework also brings more compatibility towards MIUI ROMS. Moreover, you will also be notified of any outdated or incompatible versions of older Xposed Installer if found. This is important because many times Xposed would show not active on Nougat ROMS. This is because, even though your device has latest Xposed framework, you still need the latest Xposed Installer v3.1.3 APK or later.

Xposed framework is similar to Magisk in terms of modules. Both have various modules which serve a different purpose. Apart from the wide modules repository, they also support third party modules specific to your Android phone. However, Magisk is actually a rooting method, whereas, Xposed is a framework which uses root access to actually modify or customize Android.

• Fixed a bootloop on some Samsung ROMs, expecially Note 8
• Fixed a crash on OnePlus devices when 100% charged.
• More MIUI compatibility. There’s still an open issue though, try disabling resource hooks in the installer if you still get bootloops.
• Try to detect outdated (and therefore incompatible) Xposed Installer.

How to install?

The installation procedure is simple. All you need is the latest TWRP for your device. Reboot into TWRP and flash the latest Xposed zip file. Later reboot to system and install the latest Xposed Installer APK.
