Install Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on HTC Desire 626s Download 2.27.651.6 RUU exe File

The HTC Desire 626 series devices are being updated to the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow firmware. the first to the addition is the Sprint HTC Desire 626s and brings the firmware build number 2.27.651.6 which is based on a newer AOSP source than most on the HTC devices. This update brings a new Android version 6.0.1 Marshmallow and also packs many new features like the Doze-Mode for battery saving, app permissions for security purposes, and Google Now on Tap as well. The firmware comes in for the Sprint variant for now and may soon be released for the Metro PCS HTC Desire 626s and the Desire 626g as well. Earlier last month, HTC deployed Marshmallow for the Desire 816 and the 820. The full firmware RUU files for the Sprint HTC Desire 626 is now available. Unfortunately, the OTA is now yet available. How to Install Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on HTC Desire 626s with Stock RUU Firmware File v2.27.651.6?

Download the full firmware RUU.exe files for your HTC 626s device and transfer the file to your PC. Connect your HTC device to PC and run the RUU.exe file and follow the instructions. Now remember, this is a full firmware file and will perform a clean installation. Hence, it will wipe and factory reset in the process.
