You can now enroll to Sony’s beta program for the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow firmware update that is now available for some countries in Europe. The first devices to have received the latest official Marshmallow update were the Sony Xperia Z5 and Z3 Plus. Now, before other devices jump into Marshmallow race, the manufacturer has brought a beta program for the Sony Xperia Z2, Z3 and the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact as well.
Some devices will be chosen by the company to receive the Beta update of the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow firmware over the air. All you need to do is Sign up for the Beta program using the App listed below and wait for your device to be the lucky one. We have already seen the Sony’s Marshmallow Concept ROM available for the Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact and it was quite stable and comes with the latest Sony UI. Last month, Sony announced a similar beta program for Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Xperia Z2 , Z3 and Z3 Compact for build number 23.5.A.0.486 for the region Italy, Spain and Netherlands. For this it was necessary to enroll in the program, and wait patiently for the manufacturer publishes the update.
So if you want to sign up for the Beta program, then you will need to download the Sony Xperia App from the Google PlayStore. It will only show up for the regions where the Beta program is available. Others won’t find it. However, we have the Xperia Beta SignUp app available offline and you can install it directly and try your luck and sign up for the program. Sony finally offers the lucky winners to download the software version on their Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact or Z2.
