Your Motorola Phone Is Getting Android 14, Here’s The List

Several Motorola phones are now receiving the new Android 14 firmware update, including the latest April 2024 security patch for others. The update is now available across the globe including the regions of Europe, United States, and India.

Google rolled out Android 14 last year featuring various upgrades over the previous gen OS — as mentioned in the MadeByGoogle ‘23 Keynote Event. Here is a list of the Android 14 features.

While many OEMs are now preparing for the upcoming Android 15 update, Motorola is just finishing up Android 14 rollout so they can focus on Android 15.

The latest devices to receive Android 14 include Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, Edge 30, Edge 40, Edge 40 Pro, Moto Edge+ (2023), Moto G54, Moto G73. Some devices are also receiving Hello UI with custom Motorola apps and features.

Google has listed 14 new Android 14 features. As Motorola devices have firmware close to AOSP, most of these features will be present in Moto phones as well. However, not all features will come to Motorola, as it is up to the manufacturer to implement those.

As for what’s new, the stable version comes with the following features:

  • Separate ringtone and notification sound adjustment
  • Improved photo quality with Google Camera 9.0
  • New camera layout including the Pro interface
  • Generative AI wallpapers (temporarily exclusive to Pixel 8)

  • Flash notifications
  • New font resizing tile
  • Updated Drag & Drop throughout the system
  • Lock screen 6-digit PIN auto-confirmation
