James Webb Wallpapers 4K

NASA just released the first images of the universe captured from the James Webb Telescope. The very first image features Webb’s Deep Field NIRCam image. Followed by the Southern Ring Nebula, Stephan’s Quintet, and the “Cosmic Cliffs” in the Carina Nebula. All of these come in two variations from Webb’s NIRCam and MIRI. Webb’s first Deep Field (NIRCam Image) features thousands of galaxies. Following is a near-infrared image of galaxy cluster SMACS 0723.

So if you held a grain of sand at arm’s length and then looked into the night sky, this is the patch of the universe that would be obstructed.

Southern Ring Nebula just looks stunning. It is a hot, dense white dwarf star.

Stephan’s Quintet is a visual grouping of five galaxies. In the following image, red denotes dusty, star-forming regions, as well as extremely distant, early galaxies and galaxies enshrouded in thick dust.

Finally, the breathtaking “Cosmic Cliffs” in the Carina Nebula. The two cameras on NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope were merged by astronomers to produce a previously unseen image of a star-forming region in the Carina Nebula. This combined image, which was captured in infrared light by the Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) and Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI), exposes regions of star birth that were previously hidden.

New Exoplanet WASP-39 b and Its Star

James Webb Telescope captures its first images of an exoplanet named WASP-39 b. An exoplanet or extrasolar planet is a planet outside the Solar System.

WASP-39 b is a hot, puffy gas giant with a mass 0.28 times Jupiter (0.94 times Saturn) and a diameter 1.3 times greater than Jupiter, orbiting just 0.0486 astronomical units (4,500,000 miles) from its star. The star, WASP-39, is fractionally smaller and less massive than the Sun. Because it is so close to its star, WASP-39 b is very hot and is likely to be tidally locked, with one side facing the star at all times.

New Cartwheel Galaxy

James Webb Telescope also captured a new Cartwheel Galaxy.

This galaxy formed as the result of a high-speed collision that occurred about 400 million years ago. The Cartwheel is composed of two rings, a bright inner ring and a colorful outer ring. Both rings expand outward from the center of the collision like shockwaves.
