Samsung One UI 4.0 Beta OTA update for Galaxy S20 and Note 20 Series - Download and Install

Samsung just recently concluded the One UI 4 beta program for the flagship Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series. The Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note 20, and Note 20 Ultra now receiving their first stable One UI 4 firmware update based on Android 12. The update first comes in Germany, Europe with firmware build number G985FXXSCEUL7 for the model number S20+ SM-G985F. The same is true for other variants of the S20 and Note 20 series including the S20 FE.

The S20 series is receiving a new Android 12 build G98xFXXSCEUL7. The OTA is currently live in the UK for the European variant with Exynos processor. Whereas, the Note 20 series is receiving One UI 4 firmware with build N980FXXS3EULF in Switzerland and South Eash Europe for the Exynos processor. We can expect the same for the rest of the world including Asia and North America with Snapdragon processors in the coming months.

As we reported last month, Samsung unveiled the official One UI 4 rollout schedule; wherein the Galaxy S20 rollout was scheduled for January 2021. Looks like the update arrived on time in Europe and will soon spread to Asia and North America in the coming months. Depending on the carrier.

As the US Snapdragon S20 and Note 20 variants depend very much on the network carriers such as T-Mobile and Verizon, the Android 12 update in the United States will come later this year.

Availability

One UI 4 will be available on the Galaxy S21 series starting November 15th and will soon become available on previous Galaxy S and Note series as well as Galaxy Z series, A series and tablets.1 This announcement comes alongside a new software update for the Galaxy Watch series2 that, starting today, enables users to enjoy enhanced health features and new watch faces.

How to download Galaxy S20 and Note 20 One UI 4 full stock firmware directly from Samsung Servers

OneUI 4.0 for the Galaxy S20 series comes with firmware build number G98xFXXSCEUL7 for the global Exynos variants. As for the Note 20 series the firmware build is N98xFXXS3EULF.

The easiest way to download One UI 4 for Galaxy S20, S20 Ultra, S20+, Note 20, and Note 20 Plus is by visiting settings > system update > download updates manually. You can also download the full stock One UI 3.0 firmware updates using SamFirm tool or the Firja Tool and install via Odin Flashtool.

You can use the SamFirm (Samsung Firmware Downloader) tool and the newly added Frija (also a Samsung Software Downloader) in order to download the full stock firmware directly from Samsung Severs.

  • First, download and extract the latest SamFirm tool or the Frija Samsung Firmware Downloader.
  • Go to About Phone under Settings on your S20 device and note down the model number like (SM-G985F) for Galaxy S20+. Refer the table below.
  • Find the CSC code for your Galaxy S20 and Note 20 phone from here. Also known as a region or product code. In this case, we are using BTU for Germany and Android 12.
  • Input the model number and region code.
  • Select or check the Auto box.
  • Also, check decrypt automatically box.
  • Hit check updates option.
  • Once the details are shown, hit the download button.

    You may want to double check your s10 and note 10 model numbers as they’re s20 and note 20 model numbers
