Download OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 for OnePlus 6 and 6T with November 2021 Security Patch

Stable Android 11 for OnePlus 6 and 6T is already available for the last few months now. While Oneplus 6 series may never see the lights of Android 12, OnePlus will continue to support the devices with newer Android security patches. Today, the OEM released its bi-monthly OTA update for OnePlus 6 and 6T featuring OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 and November 2021 security patches based on Android 11.

A new stable OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 firmware update just rolled out to the OnePlus 6 and 6T devices across the globe. According to the changelog, the OTA brings “improved system stability and fixed known issues”. It also brings a newer November 2021 security patch level to OnePlus 6 and 6T devices. It’s a small OTA update weighing 383 MB in size.

The previous OxygenOS 11.1.1.1 OTA update featured September 2021 security patch level. Most importantly, it reduced the heating problem on the OnePlus 6 and 6T devices by optimizing the system power consumption. It also improved the gyro sensor sensitivity.

OxygenOS 11.1.1.1 also brought optimizations to the stability of network connection.

Android 11 is the last major update OnePlus 6 and 6T devices will receive. It features Oxygen OS 11 skin with revamped user interface, updated OnePlus apps; especially the updated OnePlus camera app with new UX.

Some of the new features include Game Space – now replacing the Fnatic mode. Updated camera app with a new convenient UI. Enhanced Dark Mode and new OnePlus Shelf.

Ambient Display also makes its way to the OnePlus 6 and 6T. You can access it from Settings > Customization > Clock on ambient display.

Download OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 full stock firmware update for the OnePlus 6 and 6T. If your devices are on the previous OxygenOS 11.1.1.1 update, then visit Settings -> System Updates -> Check for OTA updates manually.
