Download Android 12 Beta for OnePlus Devices

In the latest Google IO 2021 live stream, the search giant showcased several of their products. The most anticipated Android 12 beta also went live featuring a new theming engine, Privacy dashboard, Material You design, and much more. Google also released latest Android 12 public beta builds for their Pixel smartphones. In the presentation, Google also revealed several third-party OEMS working on their own instances of Android 12. This includes OnePlus.
OnePlus, in a recent blogpost in the forums, listed Android 12 for the flagship OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. OnePlus became one of the first manufacturers to push Android 12 beta firmware after Google. Android 12 Developer Preview Program begins for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.
Note that this is a developer preview and may not contain Oxygen OS 12. The OEM also states that this is for testing purposes only and it should provide users with all the features needed to improve the compatibility and development of your application for the next version of Android.
As for the features, the first Android 12 beta isn’t a significant change in terms of core functionality as compared to the previous developer preview. Most of the features are already available via Android 12 developer previews previously available to us.
However, the first beta features an entirely new design called “Material You”, replacing of the old Material design. Material You revamps the way we use shapes, colors, shapes, and motion. Basically what it means is that Android 12 has a new theming engine. This will change the system theme based on the wallpaper you have applied for the homescreen. It changes the color pallets of all the apps across Android and also includes the clock, status bar icons, quick settings color, settings, and much more. You can also change the border thickness, also called shadow.
