KRAFTON, the South Korean video game developer and the official owners of the popular game PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds Franchise (PUBG), today officially launched the PUBG Mobile India game under the title BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA. The game has been developed by KRAFTON, and not Tencent, for the Indian audience. It will have the same gameplay as the original PUBG Mobile. This comes amidst reports of a PUBG New State game, which is technically a PUBG Mobile 2.0.

The official website of BattleGrounds Mobile India is now live featuring the next India exclusive PUBG Mobile game. While the original PUBG Mobile game will continue to exist for the international audience, the PUBG Mobile Lite will be discontinued.

The release date for BattleGrounds Mobile India is set for May 18, 2021. According to sources, the beta may begin as soon as May 2021. It is a AAA multiplayer gaming title with exclusive in-game events and outfits. It will also feature its own esports ecosystem with tournaments and leagues coming later this year after the official launch. The game will launch as a free-to-play for all.

The game will have the same gameplay mechanic intended for the original PUBG Mobile India, that is, Battle Rolaye. the last man or team standing wins the round. 100 players will be stranded on an island with guns and armor fighting for their survival.
