It’s been so long that we talked about Motorola. That’s because the popular Moto G-series did not receive any updates for ages. The last update we saw was for the Moto G7 series that received Android 10 firmware update across the globe. It is time that the Moto G8 series to get into the update game with the latest Android 11 OTA update.
Motorola is finally rolling out Android 11 firmware update for the Moto G8 series via soak test. If you don’t already know, Soak Test is Motorola’s name for the Open Beta program. So if you have already enrolled as a beta tester, you may receive a new Android 11 soak test update on your Moto G8. However, that’s not guaranteed because the rollout is in a phased manner and only select users receive it. Regardless, it’s good news that the Moto G series is seeing some development.
