New Oxygen OS 10.3.2 HotFix OTA update available for OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro

A few months ago, OnePlus released their new Android 10 firmware update based on Oxygen OS 10. However, it was soon put on hold due to the many bugs that came with it. In order to address these critical bugs and to further optimize the system, OnePlus pushed a Oxygen OS 10.3.1 HotFix for the same for the OnePlus 7 series; than now becomes the standard. The manufacturer released similar Oxygen OS 10.3.0 for the OnePlus 6 series as well. However, that is a whole other story. OnePlus 6 got 3 consecutive Android 10 OTA update that failed in stability. Here is a new Oxygen OS 10.3.2 HotFix OTA for the global OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro devices available for download.

The new Oxygen OS 10.3.2 update for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro features latest March 2020 Android security patch level. The manufacturer may have skipped the February security patch and directly jumped from the January patch, found in previous Oxygen OS 10.3.1. We call Oxygen OS 10.3.2 a HotFix update because it features similar changelog from the previous one. Most importantly the optimization of RAM management. It also improved system stability and fixed some known issues. The Gallery app gets a major update with improved system stability for recording videos in slow-mo. It also fixed the random disappearance of screenshots in Gallery. You can now play videos without any lags.

The previous Oxygen OS 10.3.1 OTA update, on the other hand, improved blank screen issues with some apps, added the feature to support reminders for privacy alerts, and improved system stability. All this comes to the global and EU variants as well. Currently, OOS 10.3.2 is only rolling out in the Asian region; more specifically in India. The EU variants may get a similar update soon with Oxygen OS 10.0.5. Moreover, OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro will also get Oxygen OS 10.0.5/8 for the EU and International variants respectively. According to the update log listed in the screenshot below, the latest Oxygen OS 10.3.2 features the following improvements. The update may show build Oxygen OS 10.0.5 for the EU variants.

Download Oxygen OS 10.3.2 for OnePlus 7 series – Latest OTA updates

The OnePlus forums for the latest Oxygen OS 10.3.2 for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro are not out yet. The EU variants may start receiving Oxygen OS 10.0.5/8 with the same changelog very soon.

The OTA (over -the-air) updates can be captured from the phone itself. For OTA updates, simply go to Settings app > System Updates > Check for OTA updates. It will automatically download and install the updates, if  available.

Alternatively, you can also grab the full stock firmware zip from below and manually install it using local upgrade method. However, note the variants from settings > about phone; before you download and install.

Here we have the latest OxygenOS 10.0.5 for the 7 Pro 5G that brings some bug fixes. It also features March 2020 security patch level. Here is the full changelog:
