Samsung June 2019 Security Patch with Camera Night Mode min

Samsung is now rolling out the latest June 2019 Android Security Patch update for most of its latest flagship phones. The most exciting feature about this update is not just the security patch level bump, but the brand new camera night mode. Samsungโ€™s Night Mode is similar to NightSight introduced by Google in its Gcam for Pixel phones. This means, Samsungโ€™s camera can now capture exceptionally good and bright photos in very low lighting conditions. According to some users, Samsungโ€™s camera Night Mode is very much comparable Googleโ€™s NightSight when it comes to taking photos at night. So download the latest June 2019 security patch for all Samsung Galaxy devices.

Most of the Exynos variants of Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, Note 9, and Galaxy S9/S9+ have already received the latest June 2019 security patch in most of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Moreover, some Snapdragon Galaxy S10 variants in the United States have also received the latest security patch level, but carriers like T-Mobile have not implemented the camera night mode just yet. However, carriers like AT&T becomes one of the first ones to features Samsung camera Night Mode in their latest update for the Galaxy S10 variants. More info below.

The new OTA update comes in a large package of over 600 MB in size. For the Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10e, it features a new firmware build number G973FXXU2ASF3, G975FXXU2ASF3, and G970FXXU2ASF3 respectively. As for the Note 9 it features N960FXXU3CSFA build number, and that for the S9 and S9 Plus it features the software version G960FXXU5CSF2 and G965FXXU5CSF2; all for the Exynos variants.

Samsung Camera Night Mode to Galaxy S10 for some United States carrier models

Some Galaxy S10 users in the United States have reported to have received the new camera night mode. The AT&T Galaxy S10 Plus variants are receiving the latest June 2019 Security Patch level with the most anticipated Camera Night Mode. This can be expected for the Galaxy S10 with model numbers SM-G975U (S10+), SM-G973U (S10), and most likely the S10e SM-G970U with firmware build number G975USQU2ASF6. As you can see in the screenshot below, the camera now has a dedicated Night Mode.

Pretty sure, all the Snapdragon variants of Note 9, Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, and the S10 series will receive the stunning camera night mode.

Note: In order to enable night mode, launch camera > go to settings > Camera Modes > Edit modes > select Night Mode.

How to download latest firmware update for Samsung Galaxy S10/S10+/S10e, S9+, Note 9?

The easiest way to update your Galaxy device is go to Settings > Software Updates > Download OTA updates manually.

Alternatively, go through this tutorial:

  • Download and extract SamFirm tool to PC.
  • Find out the model number for your device under Settings > About Phone > Software information.
  • Find out the CSC code or Product code for your specific region.
  • Run the SamFirm tool and input the model number and CSC code.
  • Download the latest stock firmware for Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9+.
