This update to Android Oreo can be enjoyed by those who took part in the Huawei Android Oreo Beta Program.

This upgrade to Android O brings the firmware build number DUK-AL20 8.0.0.315 to the Chinese variants of Huawei Honor V9. How To Install Android 8.0 Oreo for Honor V9 Manually

Before getting ahead with the installation process you should keep note of the following.

Pre-Requisites

• Keep your device in full battery charge.
• Your device should run on stock Huawei firmware before updating to Android O.
• Unlock the bootloader of your Huawei device.
• Your device should be rooted and installed with TWRP custom recovery.

Steps to Install Android 8.0 Oreo for Honor V9

Step-1 Download all the zip files from above links and move them to your device internal storage.

Step-2 switch off your device  > long press  Volume-Up button + Power keys till you see the Huawei logo. Keep holding the Volume-Up button until your device boots into TWRP recovery.

Step-3 In the TWRP recovery,  select Backup and take a NANDroid backup of your existing device and app data.

Step-4  select Install in the TWRP main menu  > navigate to the file update.zip > Select it and swipe at the bottom to flash it.

Step-5 Next, select and flash update_full_DUKAL20_all_cn.zip and update_data_full_public.zip files.

Step-6  Tap on the Reboot system to reboot after you finish installing the update.
