Samsung is about to launch its new foldable series smartphone in an upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event set for August 11, 2021. The OEM will launch a successor to the stunning Fold 2 called the Galaxy Z Fold 3. There’s another Galaxy Z Flip 3 set to launch alongside the larger Fold 3 as well. As it is a foldable phone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 feature two screens – a front 6.23 inch external display and a 7.55 inch internal screen. The design and dimensions are very similar to that of Fold 2; featuring a 6.2 inch external and 7.5 inch internal display.

According to sources, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888 chipset, and Adreno 660 GPU. In order to support the Qualcomm powerhouse of a chipset, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with 12GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage capacity. It also packs a larger 4,440 mAh battery and 25W fast charging support.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is also expected to feature an in-display fingerprint reader and an under-display front-facing camera. IPX8 water-resistance is also rumored. Most importantly, the device is reported to be lighter and cheaper than the the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.

The device will also feature 3 rear camera systems each 12 megapixel lenses. The two selfie cameras will feature an internal 4 megapixel lens and an external 10 megapixel lens.
