Samsung just recently updated a new set of apps called Galaxy Labs. It is a suite, similar to Good Lock, but for optimization and performance improvements for your Samsung Galaxy devices. We got Good Lock 2021 update is support of One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 earlier this year. Here is the Galaxy Labs 2021 update for Samsung phones which will fix issues like excessive battery drain and overheating .

Samsung phones, especially the Exynos variants, have a huge problem of overheating and excessive battery drain including the latest Note 20 Ultra. Many previous generation Samsung devices are also facing overrating problem while gaming โ€“ resulting in drop in FPS and performance. This is not just the Exynos processorโ€™s fault in particular, but also lack of third-party app optimization for the Exynos chipset.

This is where the Galaxy Labs suite come into play. According to this post by Reddit user u/adeldale, the latest update to the App Booster plugin fixed the excessive battery drain issue on their Note 20 Ultra (Exynos variant). As per the userโ€™s explanation, the new App Booster update fixed the high usage of media storage and Play Services by optimizing these apps.

Galaxy Labs 2021 suite also added two new plugins called Thermal Guardian and Memory Guardian to the already existing list of File Guardian, Battery Tracker, Battery Guardian, and App Booster. The Thermal Guardian in particular will fix the overheating problem on your Samsung Galaxy devices.

The app will tell you the real-time temperature of your device. It will help you fix overheating of he phone by telling you temperatureย usage patterns of various apps. Memory Guardian will free up space by removing cache files. It will also help free up RAM usage.

Do note that Samsung updated Galaxy Labs to v2.0 in support of One UI 3.0/3.1 based on Android 11. So it may not work on older One UI versions running Android 10 or 9 Pie. The latest update brings a crucial upgrade to App Booster; which can optimize third-party apps.
