Every Android device user out there is waiting for the latest Android 11 OS upgrade. While most of the smartphone manufacture have already announced their latest iteration of Andorid, only the flagships are receiving it right now. However, Samsung surprised users in India and Spain by rolling out One UI 3.0 firmware update for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite based on stable Android 11 OTA. It’s quite surprising as the company was supposed to release an Android 11 update for the Galaxy S10 family in January 2021.
However, there is more to the story. No other device from the S10 lineup like the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and the Galaxy S10 5G got Android 11 yet; except the S10 Lite.
One UI 3.0 for Galaxy S10 Lite features new firmware version G770FXXU3DTL1 based on the latest December 2020 security patch level. The full OTA update is sized around 2.05 GB. The update has started to roll out for the users in India and Spain. We expect that Samsung will cover the additional S10 series devices in the coming weeks. So stay tuned!
Samsung’s One UI 3.0 features all the Android 11 goodies along with Samsung’s own skin on top of the OS. The latest iteration of One UI brings a refreshed UI design, better animations, chat bubbles, and improvements to all the stock apps. The home screen, lock screen, lock screen widgets, and AoD mode have all been improved as well. Samsung Apps like Bixby Routines, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard get updated for compatibility.
Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite still doesn’t feature Samsung DeX (wired or wireless). Here’s some additional information about the One UI 3.0 update for the S10 Lite.
- Latest Security Patch Level: 1 December 2020
- Firmware Version: G770FXXU3DTL1
- Update Size: 2,053.34MB
