Almost all of the OPPO devices run their own Android skin called Color OS. Yesterday, in a virtual event, the popular smartphone manufacturer unveiled latest Android 11 firmware update based on Color OS 11. The previous iterations of Color OS already had a ton of features. Now, with Android 11, Oppo stepped up the game. Here is how to download Color OS 11 based on Android 11, all the features, and list of supported devices.
In an online event, Oppo also unveiled the timeline for the stable release of ColorOS 11 as well as the list of phones which will receive it. Not to mention, Oppo launched the open beta program for many of the smartphones to receive the latest Android 11 firmware update. There are basically two versions of Color OS, one is Global version and the other is European EU) version. Here is how to download it.

How to download Color OS 11 based on Android 11?
Currently the Color OS 11 is on Beta state available for the following phones in the following countries-
- Find X2: Thailand, India, Indonesia, Vietnam
- Find X2 Pro and Find X2 Pro Lamborghini Edition: Thailand, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Egypt.
Note: A total of 5000 Quotas are permitted. Stay tuned for more regions.
How to download:
- Check your oppo phone has updated to the latest detectable Verison. (CPH2023PU_11.A.39 )
- Next Click “Settings”–>” Software Update”–>Click the settings icon on the screen.
- Apply for Beta version–>update beta version from the Phone.

When is the Color OS 11 Stable release date?
The Find X2 series in western countries will receive the stable Color OS 11 in December 2020. However, in Eastern European countries it will roll out in Nov 2020 along with the Global Markets.
- Timeline for European models will be updated soon for Oppo A72, A52, A91, A5 2020, A9 2020, and Oppo Reno2 series.
- Oppo Reno3 4G, Oppo F17 Pro and Oppo Reno3 Pro 4G will receive ColorOS11 beta version from Sept 30, 2020.
- Newly launched Oppo Reno4 Pro 5G will receive ColorOS 11 from Oct 2020
- Oppo Reno4 5G and Oppo Reno4 4G ill receive Android 11 from Nov 2020.
Features of Color OS 11
Oppo is a heavily customized Android skin which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. However, this time the manufacturer surprisingly released a clean firmware close to stock Android found on Google Pixel devices. OPPO is finally listening to the community. Apart from that, the endless customization options and features are still on-board which is what makes OPPO’s Color OS stand apart
1. Android 11
First off, since Color OS 11 is based on Android 11, it features all of its goodies.
2. Immersive Gaming Mode
The gaming mode of Color OS has been enhanced and now have got a new option. Android 11 brings powerful device control, easier way to manage conversations, and privacy tools. These features include improved device & media controls, manage your conversations in one place, built-in screen recording, more privacy controls. Most importantly, it supports 5G!
2. New Dark Mode
By now almost every OS has some kind of dark mode built into their systems. Oppo has gone even one step ahead with Color OS 11. They have given options to choose from which kind of dark mode users want. Users can choose from three options- enhanced, medium and gentle dark mode.
3. Always-On Display
Always-on display is one of the most anticipated features for every tech enthusiast. While OPPO phones already have always-on display, Color OS 11 enhanced it and added an option to create your own custom design for AOD.
Apart from these major changes, there are other minor changes as well including new fingerprint unlocking animation, UI changes that the OEM showcased in their virtual launch event listed in the video above.
