The Samsung Galaxy S20 series have started receiving June 2020 security patch level with a new build number ATE7 for both the Snapdragon variants in the United States as well as the Exynos processor variants globally. The June 2020 update for the Galaxy S20 series features latest Android security patch level and some under the hood changes. First off, it updated the camera app. The new camera app offers improved camera autofocus especially for the S20 Ultra. So now the photos shouldn’t be blurry anymore.
Secondly, the image quality for the Night mode has been improved. Some of the users reported that 3x or more zoomed photo of the moon at night is not blurry anymore on the S20 Ultra. Same goes for the S20 and S20 Plus for their primary cameras; but may not have the same features as the S20 Ultra. The previous update, that is the May 2020 OTA, also fixed the focus bug for objects while taking photos or video recording. It also removed the ripple effect from the in-display fingerprint scanner making it faster.
This new ATE7 update is now rolling out globally for the Exynos variants of Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra with firmware build numbers G980FXXS2ATE7, G985FXXS2ATE7, and G988FXXS2ATE7. As for the unlocked variants in the United States, the build goes by G988U1UES1ATE4 for the factory unlocked S20 Ultra. The same will come to the carrier variants in USA for the T-Mobile and Sprint users maybe with the build ATE7.
