Android 10 Beta 4 HotFix OTA update rolling out for Galaxy S9 and S9+ with One UI 2.0 ZSLG build [OTA downloads]

Samsung Galaxy S9 Android 10

Updated: A new Android 10 beta 4 HotFix is rolling out for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ with ZSLG build. If you didn’t already know, the popular Samsung One UI 2 beta program is currently rolling out for the Galaxy S9, S9+ and the Note 9. This comes to the Snapdragon variants from USA and the Exynos variants globally. Whereas, stable Android 10 is now available for the current flagships – Galaxy S10 and Note 10 globally. The manufacturer released a more stable version of the Android 10 for the Galaxy S9 series with the One UI 2.0 beta  program. However, it turns out even the beta 3 isn’t stable enough. The firmware needs more optimization. Thus, new Android 10 beta 4 OTA update is now available for Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.

One UI 2.0 beta 4 for the Exynos Galaxy S9 and S9+ variants feature new firmware build numbers G960FXXU7ZSLC and G965FXXU7ZSLC respectively. The update is ahead of its time featuring the upcoming January 2020 Android security patch level. The ZSLC OTA update screen on the regular S9 also shows one more bug fix for the crashing issue while settings up iris recognition. However, that not all. The S9 Plus displays many more bug fixes and optimization to the system.

This includes modification and improvement of camera bug, fixed issues for ringtone not available in right side on Bluetooth headset, Audio improvements, fixed no service error, fixed kernel issues, fixed fingerprint authentication is not available while using SPay or SPass, and finally fixed crash issues while calling or messaging.

As you can see, this is a very critical update to have if your device is running on the Android 10 beta. The beta 4 OTA update package comes in a small size of 140 MB in size. The previous update fixed Samsung Pass fingerprint issue while using internet. Fixed mic position feature to support screen recording. Fixed the blur issue when split-mode. Updated Samsung apps.

Samsung also posted the update schedule for various smartphones on the Samsung Members app. The Note 9 and S9 will start receiving the stable Android 10 in January 2020 for some regions and February 2020 in North America. Meanwhile, you can get the One UI 2.0 beta 4 from Samsung Member’s app or download the ZSLC OTA update zip and manually update via stock recovery.
