OnePlus 5 and 5T gets Oxygen OS 9.0.4 with Improved System Stability [OTA Downloads]

OnePlus 5 and 5T are already running the latest Android 9.0 Pie software for a while now. Ever since, the manufacturer released several OTA updates towards these previous generation phones for bug fixes and system stability; constantly improving the software experience. We have the latest and updated apps like OnePlus Launcher, Camera, Gallery, Clock and Weather Widget, new swipe gestures, and much more. Now, we have the Oxygen OS 9.0.4 for the OnePlus 5/5T available for download.

The new Oxygen OS 9.0.4 OTA update for the OnePlus 5 and the 5T features further system stability and improvements. It also features the newer January 2019 security patch based on Android 9.0 Pie; which we already got in Oxygen OS 9.0 and later. Other than the latest Android security updates, we get deep integration with Google Duo and improved network stability for those facing low network range.

In order to capture OTA updates right now, you can simply set up a VPN app on your Android phone, and set a location to India, Germany, or Canada and  and check for OTA update downloads from settings > system updates.

Alternatively, in order to install or upgrade your phone to latest software via full stock firmware, simply download the full ROM zip from above and perform a local upgrade; or flash it directly using TWRP if your Android is rooted. First, check if it has a compatibility zip. If it does remove it, create the zip and then flash it using TWRP recovery. If you need TWRP recovery, get it from the Oxygen OS 5.1.7 post.
