How to Update Exynos Note 8 to official One UI Stable based on Android 9 Pie [N950FXXU5DSB2]

Samsung’s One UI Beta program is already available for the Exynos variants of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. At the same time, the Note 8 (with Exynos processor) also started receiving similar Android 9.0 Pie beta software update via beta channel. However, the registration of One UI beta program is now closed and was only available in select European and Asian countries. If you are still looking forward to upgrade you Note 8 manually, then you have come to the right place. You can now update the international variant of Note 8 (SM-N950F) to Android Pie using the captured OTA update zip and install manually via stock recovery.

Snapdragon Note 8 leaked One UI is already available since  earlier this month. Here is the official beta program for the Exynos Note 8 with firmware build number N950FXXU5ZSB1 and previous build N950FXXU5ZSA5. The update is quite stable for the first beta OTA and features all the Android 9 Pie goodies, updated Samsung apps, January 2019 security patch, camera scene optimizer toggle, fixed lockscreen pull down lag, Night Mode, and much more. Bright Night support is coming soon in next updates. So stay tuned!

Users of Note 8 have captured the CSA3 (Oreo) to ZSA5 (Pie) OTA update zip. You can directly download the OTA zip from below and apply it via stock recovery or ADB sideload method. Note that further OTA need to be applied manually. So save this link for future updates.

Updated: Exynos Note 8 One UI Beta 2 is now available for download with many improvements and bug fixes and firmware build number N950FXXU5ZSAB. First, flash the Beta 1 and then flash the Beta 2 using the same procedure listed below. Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be updated soon. So stay tuned.

Note that this is the official Android 9 Pie OTA update captured by Note 8 users. The installation method is manual and you will need to sideload next OTA updates manually too. So stay tuned as we will update the files here.

Note 1: The OTA belongs to the OXM Multi-CSC. In order to check your device’s CSC, dial *#1234# in your dialer. If CSC section has OXM, you can flash the OTA update manually.

Note 2: In order to update to Android Pie, your device first needs to be on the latest Android Oreo firmware N950FXXU5CSA3 from India (INS) as CSC. Download the full firmware from above link, and then install it via latest Odin flash tool. Once done, flash the OTA update zip using this tutorial.
