At the launch, OnePlus 5 was termed as the new flagship killer of the year 2017. It was compared with another rival smartphone of the year – Samsung Galaxy S8. OnePlus already released Android 7.1.1 Nougat for the OnePlus 5 with Oxygen OS, whereas, the Galaxy S8/S8+ is still stuck on the previous 7.0 Nougat version. A reason could be that Samsung’s latest TouchWiz firmware consists of all the 7.1.1 Nougat features. Anyway, now you can update your OnePlus 5 to Android 7.1.2 Nougat via official Lineage OS 14.1 nightly builds.
