Samsung Galaxy S8 (Plus) Android 7.1.1 Nougat submitted by Vodafone carrier

Samsung is surely working on its latest update for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus and it might just be ready to deploy. This has been confirmed by the Vodafone in Australia when the network carrier submitted the latest update. The carrier displayed a chart stating that Android 7.1.1 Nougat for S8 and S8+ has been submitted to Samsung for reviewing. This means that 7.1.1 Nougat for global variants SM-G950F and SM-G955F is either ready to deploy or already under testing. The first devices to receive the update are the international variants. Followed by Unlocked variants SM-G950U1 and SM-G955U and other carrier variants like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Rogers, etc. shall deploy the same.

Galaxy S8 devices are already running the latest July 2017 Security patch with Baseband version G950FXXU1AQG5. The new 7.1.1 Nougat OTA update might as well come with the latest August 2017 security patch level.

Moreover, we have already seen the first Android 7.1.1 Nougat build for Samsung device which comes to the J3 2017 Edition. Users are eagerly waiting for the 7.1 Nougat to come as soon as possible to the Samsung smartphones. This is because the competitive manufacturers have already released the latest Android version 7.1.1 including OnePlus, ZTE Axon, Sony Xperia, LG, Lenovo Moto, etc.
