Nextbit Robin, which started as a Kickstarter campaign for a quality low-cost phone, is now receiving the official Android 7.0 Nougat firmware update. The build number Robin _Number_88 is quite simple to remember and is claimed to be very stable. The OTA is currently hitting devices in European countries like France, Germany, and also the Indian market. This Nougat is a stable update as the Beta Program has ended and final OAT is out. The full firmware file weighs around 1.55 GB. Users rolled into the Beta Nougat program are receiving the update first whereas, in France, the OTA is available for everyone.

The NextBit Robin firmware is very close to the AOSP that Google releases for the Nexus and Pixel range. However, Robin has now received the Android 7.0 and not the Android 7.1.1. The OTA is based on January 5, 2017, Security Patch Level.
