As we predicted yesterday, the Open Beta 12 for the OnePlus 3 is now available for download along with the Open Beta 3. The OnePlus team is back from a long break and brought us some amazing news. The Android 7.1.1 Nougat based Oxygen OS Open Beta firmware updates are now available.
We have already posted on the OnePlus 3/3T devices running the official Oxygen OS 4.0.3 which was released last month. Surprisingly, the Open Beta 12 and the Beta 2 has been released today for the flagship duo- OnePlus 3 and the 3T. Furthermore, this new OTA update is a leap from the Open Beta 2 for the OnePlus 3T and the Beta 11 for OnePlus 3. The OTA does not weigh much in size but the full firmware file weighs around 1.4 GB in terms of size and is listed below. However, if your device is already on the previous Beta update then you shall receive the OTA notification. The firmware is based on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat and comes with March 1, 2017 security patch.

Known Issues and Fixes:
- Android Play may not be able to work on London TFL/Tube. The same can be resolved by updating the app via Play store.
- Compatibility issues with certain third party apps.

How to install the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OTA update on OnePlus 3/3t with Open Beta 12/3?
A full tutorial can be found on our previous Open Beta 11 update post. 0If you are on the previous Beta version, you will receive the OTA download notification from Settings>System Updates. However, if your device is running the official Oxygen OS 4.0.3/OOS 4.0.2 then there is a simple upgrade procedure using the APK file. Download the full firmware and do a Local Upgrade. This will also ensure your device data and apps.
