The unlocked version of the HTC One A9, One M9 and the HTC 10 have already received the official Android 7.0 Nougat firmware update. Now, the Sprint carrier is rolling out an OTA update for the HTC One A9 variant with the Nougat firmware and a newer January 2017 AOSP security updates. The build number has changed to 2.18.651.2 and features the SENSE 8.0 UX from the manufacturer.

Users have been waiting for the update since long. The A9 Nougat download link is now live at the HTC’s official support page. The full firmware weighs a whopping 1.86 GB whereas, the OTA weighs 1.08 GB from the previous Marshmallow update to Nougat.

The OTA update can be installed using the stock recovery from Settings>System Updates. Download and install the OTA automatically via recovery mode. However, if you already possess the OTA then you can ADB sideload it.
