The Lenovo’s premium smartphone the A7000 is being updated to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Following the K3 Note, the Lenovo A7000 is the second device from the Chinese manufacturer being updated to the Android version 6.0. Even though the OTA rollout has already begun a few weeks ago, some of the Lenovo devices have not yet seen the update hitting their device. However, here we have the OTA capture for the Lenovo A7000 that will take the device’s firmware to official Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The OTA zip file listed below comes with the build number A7000-a_S223_160405_ROW_WC814D6764. The OTA weighs 1.3GB in size and comes with AOSP security patches, bug fixes, stability improvements and of course the Marshmallow goodies like App permissions, Doze mode, new emojis as well as Lenovo’s new user interface. This is an incremental upgrade over the base firmware A7000-a_S153_151127_ROW. So make sure your device is running the Android 5.1 Lollipop firmware before you proceed. If for any reason you have not received it yet, then head over to the download section, grab the OTA, and proceed with the instructions. There are two methods. First one being the stock recovery method and the second is the usual ADB sideload method. Both work flawlessly.
