MIUI 8 Comes to Xiaomi Devices, Revamped Notification and More

Xiaomi has revealed a brand new MIUI 8 ROM today and published a short video featuring the same. It shows revamped notification style and some effects. According to the Xiaomi blog this MIUI 8 firmware will be fully revealed on May 10, at the Mi product launch in Beijing, China. So it’s just 2 weeks from now. So stay tuned, because as soon as the ROM launches, it will soon be ported to other Xiaomi devices with developer support.

Some MIUI 8 Features:

The notification shade will offer a much more dynamic experience, with core functions exposed and hidden through delicate scrolling. The first noticeable changes are the immersed status bar and the refreshing new color tone.

Xiaomi has implements white color as the background vs the usual Gaussian blur effect in MIUI 7 making it even easier for you to read all your notifications at once.

You will now be able to access your favorite settings such as WIFI, Torchlight , Bluetooth, GPS even quicker than usual as shown in the notification shade. When the notification panel is scrolled up, the settings will hide automatically.
