Install Sony Xperia Z3+ Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update With Full FTF Firmware

Finally, the Sony Xperia Z3 Plus and its variants have been receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update officially from the manufacturer. The update comes to two regions, for now, including India and Malaysia for the Xperia Z3+ single-SIM and dual-SIM with the latest build number 32.1.A.1.163. We will be updating the post as we get the full FTF firmware for more variants and regions. The Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and the Z5 Premium have already seen a similar update earlier this month. The update comes with the latest February 2016 security patches from AOSP and holds the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It comes with all the Marshmallow goodies such as app permissions, doze mode, some Sony stability improvements for greater battery life, enhanced home launcher and much more.

We have seen Marshmallow Sony Xperia Concept Software 3027 for the Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact devices as well. Although the official one is not yet available for Xperia Z3 and its variants, may soon expect it from Sony with Xperia Z3 Plus receiving it officially. The listed full FTF firmware files are named Dual_E6533_32.1.A.1.163_Malaysia_Generic and E6553_32.1.A.1.163_India_Generic and weigh around 2.71 GB. As of now only E6553 and E6533 are receiving the update.We will update the links once available or you can download the firmware from XperiFirm and share the link here.
