Official OnePlus Gallery App is Now Available on Google PlayStore

OnePlus Gallery App

The Oxygen OS that comes with the OnePlus 2 device lacks a very important feature and that is the stock gallery app. However, the device developer team has now launched the new OnePlus Gallery App exclusively for the manufacturer’s devices. So now, the OnePlus 2 users can finally enjoy their very own Gallery App with an option to uninstall it anytime and not be forced upon them as it won’t come as a stock app. Other devices won’t be able to install it because the app is device specific.

The OnePlus Gallery App page describes it as perfect for day-to-day photo browsing, editing, and organizing and comes with no ads and will always be completely free. The manufacturer also quote that the app is:

  • Fast and user-friendly
We’ve created a no-fuss gallery app optimized for offline usage and effortless browsing. Collections are created automatically for images from different sources, so you won’t have to lift a finger to stay organized.
  • Easy editing
Our simple editing mode is easy to use and is equipped with all the essentials such as resize, crop, and a drawing tool for endless fun. The interface is super intuitive, streamlined, and won’t leave your head spinning with a million options.

For now, the app is only compatible with OnePlus 2. Strangely, it isn’t compatible with the manufacturer’s other devices like the OnePlus X and the OnePlus One. Maybe the manufacturer has other plans for the two devices or maybe it’s just because of the firmware differences. To make it work with the OnePlus X devices, download the APK file from APKMirror. OnePlus 2 users can fetch the OnePlus Gallery App starting today directly from the PlayStore.
