Twitter Rebrands to X: New Icon and App Update Now Available for Download [X (Twitter) APK]

Twitter, one of the world’s most popular social media platforms, has undergone a significant rebranding, transforming into “X” and sporting a fresh new icon. As part of this rebranding initiative, the platform has abandoned its iconic bird logo and replaced it with a sleek “X” symbol inside a circle.

Twitter’s official handle is now also changed to @x which now has over 66 million followers, and the previous @twitter handle has been privated, forcing users to follow the new @x handle automatically. The X.com also redirects to Twitter.com and may soon be the reverse.

The rebranding efforts extend beyond the Twitter website to its mobile apps as well. The beta version of the Android app has already incorporated the new “X” icon, replacing the Twitter bird logo across the platform. This change is expected to be rolled out soon for iOS users as well.

The new CEO of X, Linda Yaccarino, highlighted the company’s vision for the future, stating that “X will connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine” and emphasized that the platform is “Powered by AI”.

The rebranding represents a significant shift in the platform’s identity and comes after a series of changes that Twitter has undergone under Elon Musk’s leadership. Some of these changes include locking certain features behind a paywall and removing the blue tick verification from prominent accounts.

Android users can already experience the bird-less look of the new X branding, as it has made its way to the Play Store with the new APK version 10.0.0-release.0 via stable channel. Meanwhile, iOS users can expect to see the changes in the coming days, as the transformation continues across all platforms.
