Update 1: See how to download and install stable One UI 3.0 Android 11 OTA for Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra from T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T for both US locked/unlocked variants.
Samsung successfully concluded the One UI 3.0 beta program for the Galaxy S20 and the Note 20 series. While some of the regions are awaiting for the stable Android 11 OTA, Snapdragon variants in the US have now started receiving their first update based on One UI 3.0 firmware. Earlier last week, we reported OneUI 3.0 for the locked variants from various carriers such as T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T. It is now time for the US unlocked variants of Galaxy S20 and Note 20 to get the same treatment.
Users of Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra in the US are now reporting stable One UI 3.0 OTA update for their US Unlocked variants. This includes devices from carriers like T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T. The new firmware brings all the Android 11 goodies such as powerful device control options, easier ways to manage conversations. Most importantly, Android added advanced privacy and location opt-in features. It also includes improved device & media controls, options to manage your conversations in one place, built-in screen recording, etc.
Moreover, you also get Samsung’s latest software features from One UI 3.0 firmware including major visual design improvements and improved performance. Some of the notable features include Wireless Dex, cross-device calling and texting feature. With this feature, you can receive calls & texts from other devices like your Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. Check out all the features and changelog for One UI 3.0 here.
Software updates for Snapdragon variants (in US and Canada) always get delayed, either due to carrier restrictions or due to the different hardware they come with. Most of the international variants with Exynos processors are already running the latest version of Android. While the global variants get the latest December 2020 security patch level, the Snapdragon variants in USA are now receiving Android security patches from November 2020.
