OnePlus is going to launch their new flagship phones from 2020 called the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. These upcoming OnePlus 8 smartphones are all 5G based and are expected to launch on April 15, 2020. However, before that happens, the manufacturer needs to test out the stock Oxygen OS 10 firmware update. As OnePlus 8 series will be launched with Android 10 out of the box. So the best way to test the latest software is via beta testing. Here is the latest Oxygen OS 10 based Open Beta 11 for OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro available for download.
The latest Open Beta 11 update features latest security patch level, critical bug fixes, and system stability improvements. First off, it comes with the latest March 2020 Android security patch level. The update also feature bug fix for frame rate drop issue while screen recording and also optimized the adaptive brightness feature. Most importantly, OnePlus finally addressed the random switch to Gboard while using SwiftKey app or a 3rd party keyboard.
The previous update OB 10 brought optimizations to RAM management, improved the single and double-tap performance of Ambient display and lock screen. It also enhanced settings page with new “improved content” tag. Updated Phone app and Gallery app as well. However, its still missing the most anticipated Live Caption feature as seen in the first Open Beta for the OnePlus 7T series. Regardless, Google is testing their next Android 11 OS update for the Pixel series. So as soon as the developer preview is over, the OnePlus 7 devices will receive Android 11 via Open Beta channel. So download and install Open Beta 11 for OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro.
