Samsung has finally rolled out the most awaited Android 10 OTA update based on One UI 2.0 firmware for its mid-range and upper mid-range smartphones. This includes the Galaxy A50 and A40, powered by Samsung’s home-built Exynos chipsets, and the Galaxy A70 which is powered by Snapdragon 675 processors. Few of the mid-range devices which have already received the latest Android 10 update are M20, M30, M30s, A30 and A50s. The newer One UI 2.0, or fore some devices its OneUI 2 Core, firmware update packs a lot of new features such as the new Android 10 gestures, new animations, enhanced dark-mode and a redesigned device care section. The Galaxy A70 is an upper mid-range smartphone by Samsung which was launched in mid of 2019. The smartphone was launched with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. It is now receiving latest Android 10 update which started last week. The firmware version of the update is A705FMXXU5BTC2. The update for the Galaxy A70 has the security patch of February 2020. However, currently, the update is only seen in Ukraine, Russia, and some parts of Europe like Poland for now. This could mean that in a couple of weeks it will be released globally. The size of the latest firmware for A70 is around 1.9 GB. Users can download and install it using the OTA update from settings.

Download latest Android 10 based One UI 2.0 for Galaxy A40 and A50
The two pillars of Samsung’s budget smartphone line-up are the Galaxy A50 and A40. They offer great value for money and comes with a lot of features in the budget segment to give a tough competition to the rival manufacturers.
Recently both the Samsung devices have received Google’s latest Android 10 based on Samsung’s One UI 2.0. While the Galaxy A50 Android 10 update started rolling out in India and South Korea, the Galaxy A50 started rolling out in some regions of Europe as well including Italy. What’s compelling is that the update which rolled out for Galaxy A50 in India received February 2020 patch. The update for A50 in South Korea received March 2020 patch. The lower end Galaxy A40 received Android 10 update in the second week of March 2020. Samsung shipped the update with March 2020 security patch. Plus, the update was seen only in most of the European countries including Germany, France, UK, and more Italy and the firmware version is A405FNXXU3BTB8. The size of the update is around 1.7 GB. The update is packed with all the latest bells and whistles of Samsung’s One UI. The latest update gives the device a redesigned device care, enhanced dark mode, new navigation gesture, new icon designs.
How to Download and Install latest Android 10 based One UI 2.0 For Samsung Galaxy A40, A50 and A70?
The full stock firmware can be downloaded directly from Samsung servers using two amazing tools. The SamFirm (Samsung Firmware Downloader) tool and the newly added Frija (also a Samsung Software Downloader) will let you download the latest stock firmware (that comes in a

- First, download and extract the latest SamFirm tool or the Frija Samsung Firmware Downloader.
- Get the model number from Settings -> About Phone on Samsung phone. For instance A40 (SM-A405F/FN), A50 (SM-A505F) and A70 (SM-A705M).
- Find the CSC code for your Galaxy A phones from here. Also known as region or product code. In this case use DBT for A40, INS for A50 and XEO for A70.
- Input the model number and region code.
- Select or check the Auto box.
- Also, check decrypt automatically box.
- Hit check updates option.
- Once the details are shown, hit the download button.

Alternatively, you can download the latest Android 10 firmware update using third party websites like Sammobile. However, note that the download speed may be slow and may have a limit for number of downloads. So it is better you stick with the above procedure.
