Huawei’s US ban has put the company’s operations into serious setback in terms of both – the lost revenue and the potential customers as well. The US ban happened earlier last month and ever since the manufacturer is finding ways to compensate for the same. Soon, the CEO of the company held a press conference and said that the company is already preparing to recover from the ban. The manufacturer later announced Huawei’s very own Hongmeng OS for Huawei and Honor devices.
Huawei is now sending out emails to app developers for publishing their apps on their official AppStore called Huawei AppGallery. The email comes from a Huawei’s subsidiary based in India called the Aspiegel India Operations Team that is promoting and managing the HUAWEI GalleryApp. The subsidiary also claims that the official apps store from Huawei covers 170+ countries worldwide and comes preloaded on 10’s of millions of their smartphones. So this is a good opportunity for new developers to get their apps recognized and quickly get listed in the top charts of Huawei’s App Store and potentially get millions of customer base.
Thanks to Reddit user u/markyonolan (an app developer) for posting the image of the email that Huawei is sending out to developers. Here is the complete email:
Here is a transcript of the same:

The store recorded an impressive 120 billion downloads in 2018 and, welcomed 560,000 developers worldwide.
We have realized that your great Android App (hidden) is not yet published in our AppGallery. We would therefore like to invite you to join our 560k developers community for free and publish your Android App (hidden) in our platform and reach out to our High Value users, without any cost..

Moreover, according to AppGallery’s terms and conditions, as an app developer you can also monetize your app published on the store. The payout is more or less the same as that found on Google Play Store or Apple App Store which is 30% 70% and in-app purchases going for as much as 50% commission by the manufacturer.
The manufacturer has been developing Hongmeng OS that also supports Android apps. The email does not specify about the new operating system. However, it is completely logical to assume that Huawei’s AppGallery will also exist on the Hongmeng OS; if that ever happens. We will have to wait for now and see how Huawei will go about implementing Hongmeng OS onto their existing Android phones.
