The CEO of OnePlus, Carl Pei, announced and confirmed that all of the new devices will receive the Face Unlock feature just like the OnePlus 5T. This list includes OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3, and 3T all with the new unlock feature. The news just got confirmed with the latest OxygenOS based Open Beta 30 and 21 for the OnePlus 3 phones. The OxygenOS Open Beta 30 for OnePlus 3 and Beta 21 for OnePlus 3T brings the Face Unlock feature. It also features the new OnePlus Switch application which can be used for backup, restore, and even switch from any Android device with ease. As the beta builds receive face unlock now, the official Oxygen OS 5.0.1 will receive the same.
One of the most exciting part about the update, apart from the Face Unlock feature, is the latest OnePlus Launcher 2.3. You will see a new app launcher drawer, auto-naming folders, and some dynamic icon functions for desktop. There are other general bug fixes and stability improvements such as the Airtel VOLTE support for India.

You can download a VPN application and change the device location to Germany or Canada and get the latest OTA update right now. Provided your device is already on the previous Open Beta 29/20.
Alternatively, you can download the full firmware package and do a Local Upgrade. If your OnePlus 3 or 3T device is rooted, the dirty flash it over previous Beta update.
Download latest OnePlus Launcher 2.3
As we know, the OnePlus Launcher has been updated to version 2.3 since the latest Open Beta. All the devices including OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, and 5T are receiving the new Launcher 2.3. Download it from Play Store.
