Samsung is releasing a new update for the Galaxy A7 2017 which brings with it the latest July Security patch and various Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) fixes which come in addition to the Security Bulletin released by Google. Samsung listed these issues a while ago and promised to address them in their Security Maintenance Releases starting this month.

The update comes with the build number A720FXXU2AQFA and brings various device fixes and optimizations which are mentioned below:

  • July Security Update
  • SVE fixes
  • Boot optimizations
  • Browser Content Optimizer
  • Fix unresponsive Samsung Update Center
  • Fix Knox trip on some devices
  • Fix stuttering in multi-window mode
  • Smoother animation of entry and exit window frame

Since the update is currently available only via OTA mode of transmission, users are requested to head over to  Settings > About device > System update to check your device for updates.

Also, ensure that your device has sufficient amount of charge before initiating the download process. A stable Wi-Fi connection is generally recommended to save you from the hassle of experiencing issues with a corrupted file.
