Xiaomi recently released MIUI 8 or later version of the firmware based on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. We have also seen MIUI 8.5 for some of the manufacturer’s smartphones. Coming from Android OS sources, MIUI is an open-source firmware. Hence, it not only supports Xiaomi devices, but also supports third-party manufacturer Android phones like Google Nexus, Samsung, LG, Motorola, OnePlus and many more. This time a MIUI 8 based custom ROM has been developed for the OnePlus 3 and 3T based on Android 7.0 Nougat update.
This is the first Nougat based MIUI custom ROM for third-party phones. The ROM listed below for OnePlus 3/3T is an initial/first build for testing purposes. It is not a stable ROM just yet so it can’t be used as a daily driver. Moreover, the ROM is developed for the Chinese variants but it also runs on the global variants of OnePlus. This is the reason why the language is Chinese. But you can change it to English at first boot.
MIUI ROM comes as stock firmware for all Xiaomi phones. Xiaomi also announced the list of Android devices receiving the MIUI 9 and 7.1.1 Nougat update.
