Samsung has been releasing the official Android 7.0 Nougat firmware for the two of our favorite Galaxy phones viz, Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung earlier released the Galaxy Beta App onto the Play Store and the Samsung store as well in order to roll out the Nougat OTA for all. However, it has now been removed from the  for the Stores due to some unknown reasons. Moreover, the Galaxy Beta program APK file was only available for download in the US, UK, and Korea. Although we have the APK file, we also have the full firmware files for the same. The Galaxy S7 and some of its variants like SM-G930F/FD have been receiving the firmware build G930FXXU1ZPK4 as well as the Galaxy S7 Edge variants like SM-G935F have been receiving the firmware build number G935FXXU1ZPK4. The Korean variants have also reported to be receiving the OTA.

Firmware list: G930SKSU1ZPK4, G930KKKU1ZPK4, and G930LKLU1ZPK4 for the S7 and G935SKSU1ZPK4, G935KKKU1ZPK4, and G935LKLU1ZPK4 for the S7 edge version, respectively. The OTA weighs around 1295MB. However, the full Nougat TouchWiz Odin flashable firmware file comes around 2GB.

How to Install official Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Android 7.0 Nougat Firmware?

The procedure is simple. All you need is the latest Odin software and the Android 7.0 Nougat firmware file from above. Now head over to our Odin tutorial from here: How to install Android 7.0 Nougat on Samsung Galaxy devices with Odin? If you already know it, here is a short tutorial below.

Step 1: Download and extract the zip file to get the firmware with .tar or .tar.md5 extension.

Step 2: Now boot your device into Download/Odin Mode.

Step 3: Simply run the Odin3_3.10.7.exe file. Run Odin software as administrator.

Step 4: Connect your device to your PC using a USB cable.

Step 5: After a successful connection, the ID: COM in the Odin should turn Blue and an Added!! message should be displayed in the Log tab.

Step 6: Click on AP and add the firmware file.

Step 7: Take care that only Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time are selected in the Options tab. Do not check Re-Partition.

Step 8: Proceed with installation by selecting Start button.

Step 9: When you get a PASS! message in the Log tab on your Odin software, that means firmware has successfully been installed.
