Samsung Green Line Plague Hits Samsung Galaxy Phones

If you are a Samsung smartphone user, particularly the Galaxy S21 series device, it is worth noting that the Green Line issue is currently affecting these devices. Samsung Galaxy phones launched in the years 2021 and 2022 are the ones impacted the most — Galaxy S21 FE and S21 Ultra.

If you are a Galaxy S21 FE user, you might have come across the term “green line issue” circulating on social media platforms and tech forums. But what exactly is it, and what is causing it? Let us examine this phenomenon to understand its origins, impact, and potential solutions.

What is the Samsung Green Line Issue?

The Samsung Green Line refers to a peculiar incident where a thin, green vertical line appears on the display of certain smartphones, seemingly out of nowhere. This line typically runs from the top to the bottom of the screen, affecting the user experience and potentially indicating an underlying hardware or software malfunction.

What is being reported?

Numerous users have taken to social media platforms, in the recent days, like Twitter and Reddit to express their frustration and disappointment with Samsung’s Green Line problem. This is especially hitting the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the S21 FE models, both the Exynos and Snapdragon variants.

Many suggest encountering this issue after software updates or without any apparent cause, whereas some suggest it’s due to excessive heating after a session of gaming.

For instance, one user lamented the appearance of the green line on their Galaxy S21 FE after installing a software update. Whereas, another user reporting the same after April patch on their Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Potential Causes and Solutions

The exact cause of the Samsung Green Line issue remains a subject of speculation. Some users attribute it to software glitches arising from firmware updates, while others suspect it could be a hardware defect.

Solution

The dissatisfaction among users is palpable. All the affected users should express their grievances with Samsung customer support. Despite the firm rejecting or ignoring customer complaints and refusing to cover screen replacements.

Some devices are developing the green line issue after just over a year of usage.

As consumers, it’s essential to hold tech companies accountable for delivering products with defect.

If you’re experiencing the green line problem or any other issue with your Samsung device, don’t hesitate to reach out to customer support and advocate for a satisfactory resolution.

Furthermore, Samsung should have a separate warranty for the display covering up to 3 years.

The same thing happened to the Galaxy S20 series some years back, and Samsung replaced the displays at no cost, even those out of warranty.
