One UI 5.0 Update

Google just recently released stable Android 13 firmware update for the Pixel smartphones. Many third-party smartphone makers stepped in and rolled out their own custom version of Android 13 via their respective beta programs.

Some of these OEMs include Asus, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Sharp, TCL, Tecno, Vivo, Xiaomi, ZTE. Samsung also just released One UI 5.0 beta program for the flagship Galaxy S22 series earlier this month. The Android 13 beta program for Galaxy S21 series is now live.

Today, one Samsung Community member received the One UI 5.0 beta program notice for Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra in South Korea. It wonโ€™t be long before the beta program comes to other regions including North America (USA), EU, the UK, and Asia including India.

Galaxy S21 series One UI 5 beta program live

One UI 5 beta for the S21 Ultra US unlocked phone comes with firmware build ZVHK, which is the same build number as the One UI Beta 2 for the S22 series. This is great news! The full firmware build is G998U1UEU5ZVHK for the S21 Ultra. G99xU1UEU5ZVHK for the rest of the devices.

In order to download the Android 13-based OTA on your Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra devices by visiting Samsung Members app. You will see a new beta registration notice on the top.

Samsung is always late to the update game. As One UI firmware is quite feature-heavy and has tons of apps, it takes a lot of effort to migrate to a new operating system such as the latest Android 13-based One UI 5.0.

Many stock Samsung apps including the popular Good Lock plugins, Samsung Good Guardians, and Expert Raw are being updated in support of Android 13.

Today, Samsung released the One UI 5.0 beta program for the flagships Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra.
